SHIBUYA CITY FC - what a club! This was a really fun one and I'm stoked to have got in and seen them play before they go and become absolutely huge. Already dominating the Tokyo Shakaijin League, (equivalent of J7!) in this video they are playing the last game of their regular season before beginning their playoff journey, with the aim of playing in the Kanto League from 2024. Shoutout to club CEO Sho Koizumi for the interview and for sharing some really interesting info about where they are going and how they are beating some of the big J1 boys in the race to secure the most central football stadium in Tokyo. Super interesting stuff and a very, very exciting journey ahead It was a real honour to join in with the last day celebrations and to even sneak into their team photo - definitely something you don't get in J1 and J2, and another reason why getting involved grass roots football is always worth it.
